PARENT SURVEY RESULTS

In autumn 2014, RSAcademics conducted an independent survey amongst the parents of Shiplake College. The primary aim of this was to assess how satisfied parents are with various aspects of school life, and to ensure that future improvements can be informed by parental opinion.

The survey received a pleasing response, as 62% of families completed the online questionnaire, representing 270 children. The excellent results have shown that the College has a welcoming, nurturing, encouraging and inclusive environment. The report compares Shiplake to 57 other independent schools in the UK and concludes that 'the College has impressively high levels of satisfaction and advocacy amongst parents who feel their children are happy at the College. The College significantly exceeds benchmarks for these measures. Many individual features are strongly endorsed and significantly above relevant benchmarks.'

Parents agree that the ability of teachers to inspire pupils is of huge importance, and believe must remain a priority when planning future investment. We hope you find time to read the full summary of results, which is available to download below.
