Inspection Reports

I am delighted with the outcome of our recent ISI inspection.  It is all we could have hoped for and I am immensely grateful to all the staff, both teaching and non-teaching, for the outstanding work they do to ensure that our pupils receive an excellent all-round education.

The inspectors found that we are a strong community where the personal development of pupils is excellent and pastoral care outstanding.  Significant improvements have been made in the quality of teaching and the pupils’ attitudes to learning since the last inspection in 2006.  Indeed, more than a quarter of all teaching that inspectors saw was deemed outstanding.  Academic achievement has also improved and the inspectors make reference to the pupils’ improved public exam results in recent years in relation to ability.

The quality of boarding at the College was found to be excellent and the relationships between staff and pupils a “significant strength”.  Inspectors found that communication and links with parents had significantly improved since 2006 and were impressed with the work pupils and staff do to support and foster links with the local community.

The full inspection report can be found here and further information can be found on the ISI website.
