Shiplake College

Boys in the Lower School follow an exciting and innovative curriculum which was specially designed by the College to allow maximum exploration of subjects and curriculum areas. A solid foundation is created for boys to build on when they move to Year 9.

The Lower School has two mixed-ability forms in each year group, the Olympians and the Titans. However, Maths and English are set by ability.

The boys are under the supervision of the Head of Lower School, Mr Simon Cane-Hardy, who is supported by Matron and a team of Tutors. The Lower School team oversee the boys' academic and personal development throughout Years 7 and 8.
