Beth Jones Captures Incredible Trip on Camera
Trips & Visits

This summer, members of the Shiplake College Expedition Society completed a hugely challenging and rewarding trip to Kenya. The adventure provided an unforgettable experience for all involved, and will undoubtedly continue to impact upon their lives back home in the UK.

Year 13 pupil Beth Jones took a GoPro personal camera along with her on the expedition, which captured the magnificent scenery and unique activities which the group experienced along the way. Beth's description of the video says it all:

"1 month in Kenya: visited schools, built desks, got jumped on by a giant lizard, climbed Mt Kenya, went on safari, fished on the largest desert lake in the world, got sunburnt, freaked out by too many spiders, bungee jumped, went white water rafting and survived!!"

The video is certainly worth a watch!

The society's silver jubilee arrives next year in 2015, and the special trip will be available to all Sixth Form pupils. Keep an eye out for further information over the coming months.
