Shiplake College is once again celebrating another impressive set of GCSE results. Pupils have improved on the percentage of top results, gaining 23% A*-A grades, up from 21% in 2015. The percentage of A*-C grades overall has also increased from 88% to 91%.
Headmaster Gregg Davies comments: “This is another pleasing set of results. Our pupils have worked hard, applying themselves to the seriousness of these public examinations whilst showing great commitment to the many other co-curricular activities we offer. There are many departments celebrating 100% A*-C success, with 100% A*-A for those who took iGCSE Maths. It is a pleasure to watch our dedicated staff take as much enjoyment as the pupils and parents on results days like these.
Congratulations to Brett Fullard who achieved an impressive set of high-end grades, confirming his Academic Scholarship into the Sixth Form. Alfie Sheppard, Ryan Jones, Bilal Akeil, Tom Hallam, Will Bailey and Laurenz Claas also all attained a majority of A* and A grades.
