Headmaster's XV Selected: April
SportCo-Curricular

This term’s sports have been football, netball, hockey and rowing, with the addition of the rugby sevens. The teams have played well, growing together and proving that Shiplake are a force to be reckoned with on the sports fields and on the river. We are delighted to announce that the latest Headmaster’s XV has been selected. This sporting achievement recognises the fifteen pupils who have been exemplary in their sport over the previous weeks, displaying a commitment that is highly impressive.

Players from different teams and across the different sports compete for a place in the Headmaster’s XV. The Headmaster’s XV is different from other awards which are based on sporting prowess alone; this certificate takes into account the hard work and improvements that players have shown throughout the weeks. Once names have been put forward by team coaches, Director of Sport Mr Duncan Traynor finalises the decision.

Director of Rowing Mr David Currie has also selected a Headmaster’s VIII, which celebrates the 8 rowers who have shown exceptional commitment and passion for the sport.
