After a busy and successful hockey season, the players could relax and celebrate their achievements at the Hockey Awards. Head of Hockey Mr Tom Walter worked with the coaches for each team to choose players who had excelled themselves throughout their training and games. ‘The awards ceremony for the senior hockey took place in the Great Hall, celebrating the achievements and successes of the students involved in the sport. There were surprise visits from former teachers Richard Mannix and Peter Gould, who returned to embarrass and present Dr Bob Snellgrove with a leaving gift, to thank him for his 29 years of service to Shiplake hockey! The awards presented are as follows:
- 1st XI Player of the Season: Harry Rees
- 1st XI Players’ Player of the Season: Will Gresswell
- 1st XI Most Improved: Arthur Langeler
- 2nd XI Player of the Season: Miles Firth
- 2nd XI Players’ Player of the Season: Freddie Davis
- 2nd XI Most Improved: Tom Hallam
- U15 Player of the Season: Dom Deakin
- U15 XI Players’ Player of the Season: Cam Jones
- U15 XI Most Improved: Farhad Huseynli
- U14 XI Player of the Season: Ollie Rouse-Roberts
- U14 XI Players’ Player of the Season: Zac Kennedy
- U14 Most Improved: Johnny Yulhanson-Hutchins
