On Tuesday 9 December, the Year 12 and 13 Business BTEC students travelled to the NEC Birmingham for the Clothes Show Live.
Fashion is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, which provides a great theme for the Business BTEC students' next portfolios.Year 12 will focus on marketing and Year 13 will focus on Creative Product Design.
The visit to the Clothes Show Live was therefore a perfect way for BTEC Business Studies students to experience the fashion industry in action. With over 500 different fashion companies present, the students could talk to top fashion companies and gather the information they needed to complete their Business BTEC work.
In addition to making notes and asking questions, the students met a number of celebrities, including Amy Childs from The Only Way is Essex, and were treated to a fashion show displaying some of the newest clothes from top designers. The trip was a great success and the students learned a lot from the experience.
