Shiplake College

On February 9th ten boys from all three Shiplake CCF sections took part in a trip to HMS RALEIGH in Plymouth accompanied by Mr Lowndes and Mrs Knight . The boys spent much of the day following the same sea survival training as RN sailors, learning how to stop damage below the waterline from flooding a ship's compartment; and a range of firefighting techniques used aboard warships.
