Shiplake's Jo Unsworth Wins at Henley Women's Regatta

Congratulations to Shiplake pupil Jo Unsworth and her crew on winning the Junior Quad event at Henley Women's Regatta. Jo, who rows in the Henley Rowing Club quad, beat Laytmer Upper School, Groton School USA, Tideway Scullers and finally Canford School in the final.

This has also seen Jo's Quad pre qualify for the first ever Womens' Quad event at Henley Royal Regatta. After Henley Royal Regatta Jo will be part of the GB Junior Squad and is looking forward to a summer of competitive rowing.

In other rowing news the 1st VIII has prequalified for Henley Royal Regatta in the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup. The draw and timetable will be released during the weekend.

Congratulations also to Louis Miller Bains who has also qualified for the Thames Challenge Cup event coxing the Marlow 1st VIII that is stroked by our very own Mr Rendell. Hopefully Harry Rushent will be able to join the list of Shiplake students racing as he attempts to qualify for an Upper Thames crew in the Wyford Challenge Cup.

Good luck to Mr Mackworth Praed who will attempt to qualify for the Diamond Sculls Challenge Cup and the Staff Coxless Fours containing Mr Brownley, Mr Armstrong, Mr Fitton and Mr Jones racing in the Wyfold Challenge Cup.
