The SCBCSA supports the Shiplake Boat Club through financial contributions and social events.
Our next target is to raise £9,000 in order to buy a new Pair, hopefully during the 2013-14 academic year.
Support already given:
· 2012 – Rigger for J14 boat
· 2012 - Contribution and re-spray of Coxed Four
· 2011 - Trailer
· 2010 - Gym Floor
· 2009 - Set of 8 Sweep Blades
· 2008 - 2 Gold Speed Coach Rate Meters and 1 Cox Box
· 2007 - Contribution towards Vespoli Eight
No less important is providing a focal point at Heads or Regattas so that all parents, pupils and staff can meet and enjoy the events to the full. The Supporters Association provides refreshments – hot drinks and bacon sandwiches on cold winter days and Pimms and canapés in the summer. If you would like to volunteer to help at a one of these events please email linda.arnold@promentor.co.uk.
100 Club - Join and help us raise £9,000 for the Boat Club’s next Pair!
It’s only £2 per month! Just decide how many entries you would like each month then complete and sign an application form and an annual standing order mandate for the appropriate amount for a year. That’s all there is to it. We’ll even post it for you, and the bank does the rest.
30% of the funds raised will be paid as cash prizes, drawn every term, starting in the Summer Term 2013. Prize value will depend on how many entries we receive each term - 20 entries = £48 prize, 100 entries = £240 prize!
Click below for an application form and standing order mandate and the rules to understand how the Parents’ Association will run the 100 Club. Please post or hand in completed application forms and standing order mandates to the SCBCSA Treasurer c/o School Office.
Thank you - and good luck!

Merchandise
We currently have Shiplake beanie hats and snoods approved by Mr Crisford, the Master in Charge of Rowing as he is keen that each boy/girl wears a hat during this extremely cold weather. We will be announcing the release of Shiplake umbrellas and cufflinks soon, please see the Shiplake College Weekly Newsletter for advertisements or alternatively speak to either Moya Flynn or Sue Bond.
