7th June - Eton Schools Regatta The details came out for the Eton Schools Regatta today and can be found at the following website: http://www.etonrowing.org.uk/ The crews are as follows: J15 Eight Quelch MacLeod Roels Evans Allen Andreau Coppock Bownass Troup J16 Coxed Four Emerson Baker Holloway Wright Murphy 1st Eight Holmes Hanson Ingham Clark Thompson Albon Marriott Middleton McKellar Briggs 1st Quad Tyrwhitt-Drake Winslade Frossell Harvard-Taylor Of particular note in the instructions are the following: In reading all that follows, please bear in mind that this event has been put on in minimal time, will have minimal marshalling and the facility is being offered gratis. We very much hope that the spirit of the day will therefore be one of amiable co-operation from coaches, crews and parents alike. SITE ACCESS AND PARKING No charges will be made for parking. Spectators should arrive after 1400 as no parking will be available before this time. If the ground is still wet (which seems likely) then parking arrangements will be as follows: Spectators will be turned round the ash tree and parked on the high ground at 1000m. GAZEBOS ETC. Gazebos should be erected in a line next to the small marquee which will be in place opposite the finish. If the ground is very wet then gazebos will have to be erected next to the boathouse (where the trade stands usually are). No barbecues are allowed on the Dorney Lake site. For Finals, the pontoon nearest to Reception will double up as a presentation and landing raft. All the crews we were hoping to race will be there on Saturday, so it will be an excellent test. 14th June - Shiplake Regatta 15th June - Reading Amateur Regatta 21st June - Marlow Regatta 22nd June - Thames Valley Park Regatta 27th June - Henley Royal Regatta Qualifying Races 2nd - 6th July - Henley Royal Regatta Shiplake College Boat Club Supporters Association Shiplake Regatta Saturday 14th June 2008 1pm -4pm You are warmly invited to the Shiplake Regatta. There will be exciting racing and lots of fun by the river on the 14th June. Come and enjoy some of the super food which will be on sale during the day. This includes: · Barbeque with excellent quality burgers, sausages & bacon · Salads · Strawberries and cream · Wide selection of drinks There will also be a tombola and we would be very grateful for prizes of all shapes and sizes. Drop prizes off at the school office, bring with you on the day or contact Tessa (tessa@harvardtaylor.wanadoo.co.uk) or Jan (wrights_drjj@tiscali.co.uk). Bigger prizes may be put into a Silent Auction and would be very welcome. We encourage you to bring friends and relatives to enjoy what will be a lovely day at Shiplake. |
