A Trip to Cadbury World
Trips & VisitsBusiness BTEC

The Business BTEC pupils have had a very busy term! Amongst organising auctions and events to raise money for local charities, Head of Business, Mr Dave Rose, managed to arrange an exciting and welcome trip to Cadbury World, Bournville. Each pupil who studies the Business BTEC travelled to Birmingham for the trip, to the specially created village which houses the Cadbury factory.

85 students went on the trip to the world-famous Cadbury world, accompanied by Mr Rose and Head of Religious Studies Miss Lizzy Morgan. Cadbury have recently been taken over by American multinational confectionery food company Mondelez. The pupils received a talk from the Head of Mondelez Education all about the marketing techniques used by Cadbury, specifically looking at how new products are introduced to the market and who they are targeted towards. The talk also looked at branding, and how the large variety of products have their own individual branding. The group then toured Cadbury world, looking at the marketing techniques of the previous 100 years and how they have progressed throughout the ages.

A trip to the world’s biggest Cadbury shop was the final port of call, where many pupils took advantage of the amount of chocolate on offer by stocking up on Christmas presents.
