Dinner with the Stars
CommunityEvents

The Sports Tour Fundraising Dinner is fast approaching, and incredible names in the sporting world are signed up to be there. Taking place on Saturday 4 March, the Shiplake community will be joined by Olympic medallists Crista Cullen MBE, Alex Gregory MBE and rugby legend Andy Goode, who will be on hand to answer all of your pressing questions.

Members of the audience will have their chance to pose questions to the panel of famous sporting faces, which is being overseen by Old Viking and BBC sports presenter James Burridge. Former England fly-half and rugby pundit Andy Goode will be joined by Leander rower and two-time Olympic Gold medallist Alex Gregory MBE, and GB hockey player and Rio Olympic Gold medallist Crista Cullen MBE. The event will help to raise money for the Sports Tour Fund, which provides Shiplake’s budding athletes with unique opportunities to participate in the tour of a lifetime. It will also provide the ideal opportunity for attendees to meet staff, parents and other members of the Shiplake and local community for a fun evening of entertainment.

Attendees will also enjoy a sumptuous three course meal, and entertainment from a live band, led by Old Viking and star of BBC One’s The Voice Jamie Bruce. Jamie has been a professional musician for 15 years, and has a prestigious list of gigs under his belt. Perhaps the pinnacle was supporting Bon Jovi at the London O2, with band The Velvet Hearts. Jamie is a master showman onstage, with such infectious energy and enthusiasm. Alongside this, an auction will be run by Old Viking and Cash in the Attic extraordinaire Jonty Hearnden. Jonty, a seasoned television presenter, is one of the most recognisable faces on TV. He will be running the charity auction, helping to raise funds for the tours. Click here for further information about the evening.

The deadline for purchasing tickets was Monday 20 February.
