The Shiplake College Parents' Association was founded in 2009 to enable parents from across the school to meet socially.
We hope that many of you had the chance to view the Christmas decorations that the Parents' Association placed in the Great Hall over Christmas. Next year we are going to try to return to a theme of the Shiplake College colours but our stocks of decorations are running low. During the coming year, when your sons grow-out-of, wear-out or irretrievably damage their blazers please let us have them, whatever the condition. You can sell the better ones through the 2nd hand uniform store for a small return, but we can make use of all other badly damaged/worn-out blazers for Christmas decorations. Please bring any items (for resale or recycling) to Fran or Suzette on Reception. If you have any old, large Christmas baubles that you do not require after Christmas, we can make use of those also.
The Parents' Association had a brilliant 2012-2013, with lots of events and support from parents:
For further information about the Parents’ Association please contact the Chair, Mike Whitfield, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All parents are warmly encouraged to join us and details of events are circulated in the weekly Friday newsletter.
