The College has a fully-staffed Medical Wing located adjacent to Skipwith House, which cares for all day and boarding pupils.

The Medical Wing has a team of qualified nurses Senior Sister Debbie Mundy, Sister Jenny Fitzgerald and Residential Sister Hilary Kernaghan. The department is staffed Monday to Friday day and night and Saturday to cover sport. There is an on call service on Sunday evening. The experienced nurses work hard to meet the needs of both day and boarding pupils.

There are five inpatient beds within the Medical Wing for unwell or injured pupils.

The College Medical Officer is Dr Phillip Unwin, based at the Hart Surgery, York Street, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 2DR. The surgery can be contacted on 01491 843 200. Dr Unwin holds a surgery in the Medical Wing for registered pupils every Monday and Friday morning during term time.

The Medical Wing also makes appointments for the Physiotherapist once a GP referral has been made to see them. Physiolistic, a local physiotherapy company based at Henley Rugby Club, keeps propriety appointments for Shiplake Pupils.

On Rugby match days during the Winter term, a pitch side team of Medics is in attendance well supported by the nurses in the Medical Wing.

The Medical Wing can be contacted via email on or by phone on 01189 405 233.
