The senior drama production of 'Homeless' will be taking place in November to allow parents and other members of the Shiplake community an opportunity to enjoy the hugely successful show.
In August, Shiplake's budding performers took the show on tour to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where they received excellent feedback. The plot focuses on a group of vulnerable young people who have formed a fragile community, while living on the street. The characters all have their own story to tell about past experiences, current challenges and the dreams they have about escaping their present situation. Inspired by the National Theatre produciton of Home, written by Naida Falls, Shiplake's version includes a capella singing and exciting elements of physical theatre.
