It is with great delight to announce that three of our pupils have been selected for roles in Queen Anne's School's upcoming production, Chicago, a musical by Maurine Dallas Watkins.
Well done to Noah Scotchbrook (Year 12), William Tayler (Year 13), and Max Noakes (Year 13) who, after auditioning for the roles, will star in the upcoming musical. In particular, Noah has been selected to play one of the leading roles of the musical!
Chicago is a musical based on a play of the same name and, set in Chicago during the jazz age, is based on a 1926 play of the same title by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins, about actual criminals and the crimes on which she reported. The story is a satire on corruption in the administration of criminal justice and the concept of the "celebrity criminal".
Rehearsals have already begun for the musical and it is expected that performances will take place in February 2023 on:
- Thursday 2 February
- Friday 3 February
- Saturday 4 February
We will provide ticketing information in due course and we look forward to seeing the boys shine in the spring!
