As part of our ongoing commitment to celebrating neurodiversity, we were delighted to welcome Mr Matt Watson, Chief Creative Officer at PepsiCo, for the second talk in this year’s series, organised by our Assistant Head (Inclusion), Mrs Coulehan.

Matt captivated our pupils in Year 7 to 10 with his powerful story of transforming dyslexia from a challenge into a strength. Sharing his journey from early struggles at school to eventual diagnosis, Matt highlighted the strategies that shaped his success: understanding how his brain works, building a strong support network, vocalising ideas, taking bold leaps, and above all - persevering.

His presentation was dynamic, highly visual, and filled with real-world examples from his creative role, which resonated with every age group. The energy in the room soared during the Q&A session, where pupils asked everything from his work with global brands and celebrities to his favourite snacks and football team alongside thoughtful, insightful questions about his dyslexic experience.

Matt’s talk reinforced our positive approach to neurodiversity and showcased the unique advantages that dyslexia can bring. It was an inspiring reminder that differences are not limitations; they are opportunities for innovation and success.

Thank you, Matt, for visiting the College and sharing your story!
