The River Thames was bathed with sunshine as Shiplake held its annual Riverside Communion Service on the evening of Wednesday 11 June. Shiplake pupils, parents and staff were joined by over 80 girls from Queen Anne's School, as well as Revd Paul Bradish and parishioners from the local benefice, and a number from Reading churches.
Reverend Stephen Cousins gave the welcome address before leading a beautiful service of hymns, prayers and readings. This was followed by refreshments on the terrace of Skipwith House. Gregg Davies commented "It was wonderful to see the Shiplake boys mixing eloquently with the girls from Queen Anne's. This was a most memorable occasion and it reminded me of how much I value the combination of the parish and College working together in this way."
