Whole School Assemblies returned today following a two-week break owing to Year 11 and Year 13 mock exams and in it, we recognised the many pupils who have achieved in their academic endeavours. With pupils across the entire College being recognised, there were awards for Enrichment, Pupils of the Term, and Engagement with Learning.
Enrichment Awards
The enrichment passport lies within the Shiplake Seven framework, which is a teaching and learning framework designed to foster and develop key interpersonal qualities in our young people. The framework is integrated across the academic and co-curriculum, allowing the seven qualities to be nurtured inside and outside the classroom.
Pupils are encouraged to use these skills in their lessons and activities, with staff awarding 'excellence points’ in recognition of notable achievements or good behaviour. The top three for each year group are then rewarded each half term with the top pupils for last half-term being:

Engagement with Learning
Just before Christmas all our pupils received a Progress Review report. At this stage of the year, the most important aspect of the report is the Engagement with Learning scores which is a score for a pupil’s academic effort.
This category has nothing to do with grades or academic potential and every single pupil is capable of putting in the effort to score highly in this category. At the start of the Spring Term, we were delighted to recognise the following pupils who had the highest scores:
