Last term we entered over 100 students into for the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge where we had some excellent results, including 16 pupils placing in the top 10% nationally!
In the UK, the challenge is open to all young people aged 6 to 19. Each participant has 45 minutes to complete a set of interactive tasks designed to develop logical thinking and age‑appropriate problem‑solving skills.
The Challenge is available for Juniors (age 10-12), Intermediates (age 12-14), Seniors (age 14-16) and Elites (age 16-19). The activities are created to give every student the chance to demonstrate their abilities, whether or not they have a strong background in maths or computing.
