Last year we entered over 100 students into for the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge where we had some excellent results, including 16 pupils placing in the top 10% nationally!
In the UK, the challenge is open to all young people aged 6 to 19. Each participant has 45 minutes to complete a set of interactive tasks designed to develop logical thinking and age‑appropriate problem‑solving skills.
The activities are created to give every student the chance to demonstrate their abilities—whether or not they have a strong background in maths or computing.
Well done to the following 16 pupils who achieved a Gold Award. Additionally, the three Year 7 pupils were joint Best in School and who placed in the top 10% nationally are: Murray Hall, Ali Curran, Ollie Thorpe, Nate Thornber.
