During the month of November, a group of our senior pupils have been taking part in Movember - an annual event which involves the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. They are tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. By growing a moustache and by raising money, Movember is able to fund men's health projects around the world and transform the way health services reach and support men. Growing a moustache is the Movember symbol for better men's health. It grabs attention and starts important conversations around men's health.

At the College, a group consisting of Year 13 pupils - Dexter Elliot, Ben Watkins, Charlie Carey, Warren Greaves, Alfie Reineke, and Alex Langton - in addition to members of staff, Mr Cartwright and Mr Batchelor, have been sporting different looks during November. With varying degrees of 'bushiness' to their moustaches, our pupils have raised £215. Also growing a moustache was Year 12 pupil Sebastian Laing who, as of Wednesday 6 December, has raised £1,184! These are fantastic achievements and amounts raised that are sure to go a long way in funding future projects that will better tackle some of the big issues in men's health.

Movember may have finished but their work still continues. If you would still like to donate to support this great cause, you can do so via Sebastian's Movember fundraising link. Thank you in advance.

Make sure you check out the moustaches that were on display in the gallery below.
