In April, our Year 7 and 8 mathematicians took part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust's Junior Mathematical Challenge. The challenge, open to Year 7 and 8 pupils, promotes a love of problem solving and is a 60-minute, multiple-choice challenge.
Of all the pupils to have received an award, a special mention must go to Year 8 pupil, Lili Baietta, who received a Gold Award and qualification into the next round. This is an amazing achievement as this is two years in a row that Lili has qualified. We wish her the best of luck on Wednesday 10 June!
Furthermore, the Maths Department achieved a total of 20 awards, including 5 Silver Awards and 14 Bronze Awards. This represents a further improvement over last year's impressive results. Well done to our pupils in Year 7 and 8.
