On Thursday 26 February, pupils and staff from across the College filled the Lecture Theatre for the first Lunchtime Concert of 2026.
These concerts offer a wonderful platform for musicians of all abilities to showcase their talents on stage, whether they are stepping into the spotlight for the very first time or are already seasoned performers.
This week’s concert was no exception, featuring a brilliant blend of both experienced and emerging musicians, with performances from Year 9 pupils through to Year 13 Music Scholars. The programme included:
- Arabella May – Dust In The Wind, Kansas
- Masha Budnyk – The Path of Wind, Joe Hisaishi
- Lili Baietta – Waltz in A minor, Frédéric Chopin
- Sena Hughes – Family Affair, Mary J. Blige
- Seb Crehan Mills – A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, Manning Sherwin
- Bethan Thompson – When We Were Young, Adele
- E Lenchits-Evans, Seb Crehan Mills, G Wakerle, Axel Crane (Saxophone Ensemble) – You Raise Me Up, Josh Groban
The Lecture Theatre audience gave each performer an enthusiastic and heartfelt reception, and once the final note faded, the room erupted in well‑deserved applause. A huge well done to all who performed, and thank you to everyone who came along to support them.
