At the second Lunchtime Concert of 2022, we were treated to some fantastic performances by pupils from Year 7 to Sixth Form. It was wonderful to welcome some new faces to the Lunchtime Concert circuit as well as well-known performers who were trying something new.
Harry (Year 12) opened with an expressive performance of Prelude in C Minor which was followed by a technical drum piece by GCSE student Felix (Year 10). We were then treated to songs from Adele, The Clash and Chris Batchelor by students James (Year 7), Albert (Year 9) and Leo (Year 10). Henry (Year 10) brought the show to an end with a great rendition of Fly me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra.
Music Teacher, Mr Jasper Elliott said: "It is important to note that, for some of our students, this was their first experience in performing so a big well done to James and Albert for showing confidence and determination in their debut performances. Also, well done to Felix and Henry for their first performances outside of a band and on their own."
Well done to the following students on their brilliant performances in this Lunchtime Concert:
- Harry Wood: Prelude in C Minor, Frederic Chopin
- Felix Collar: Brush By, Brian Stone
- James Martin: Skyfall, Adele
- Albert Dean: Should I Stay or Should I Go?, The Clash
- Leo Slowikowski: So Long, Chris Batchelor
- Henry Johnston: Fly me to the Moon, Frank Sinatra
