HOUSES

Pupils in Year 7 and 8 join the Lower School. All pupils in Year 9 and above join one of the five core Houses at the heart of College life. Orchard, Skipwith and Everett houses day pupils while flexi-, weekly and full boarders are housed in Burr or Welsh.

These Houses are supplemented by separate Lower School and Sixth Form Houses. Pupils joining in Year 7 become Olympians, Spartans or Titans, although will have lessons with a mix of these Houses across four classes. Sixth Form girls are members of Gilson House (but also are linked to one of the five main houses), while Year 13 boys reside in College but retain their previous House allegiance for inter-house competition etc.

Each House is run by a Housemaster or Housemistress who is always on hand to offer their support to pupils in all academic, co-curricular, emotional and social domains. They can all rely on the assistance of other leadership staff, the House Matron and a dedicated team of tutors.

Please visit the individual House pages to find out more about each one.

We provide an education that is tailored to the needs of the individual.
